Who was Chanakya?
“Difficult is detachment from the objects of senses, difficult it is to realize the Real. Difficult it is to ascend oneself into the state of the Supreme, without the compassionate blessings of a true Guru!” – Varaha Upanishad. This quote is extremely true for Real Guru “Chanakya”.
Chanakya was born in Brahmin family. He was the Son of Acharya Chanak who was a teacher. He invented his name ‘Chanakya’ from his father name ‘Chanak’. He received his education from Takshashila. He had keen interest in political science from his childhood. He even acquired the knowledge of medicine and astronomy. The achievement of education was pursued by a teaching profession. So, he was renowned professor of economics and political science of Takshashila University. He wrote the Arthashastra, Chanakya Neeti and Neetishastra, the political thesis on statecraft.
